  • One of the greatest abilities you have to develop if you want to save time and aggravation

Show Notes

  • Until someone sells themself as a salesperson, they are not going to do well at marketing.
  • People hate selling because they feel like they are talking people into buying something they are not committed to.
  • The really successful Entrepreneurs have a phenomenal ability to sell themselves before they try to sell other people.
  • Most people are trying to sell with an internal sense of conflict.
  • People feel overwhelmed in life because they are over obligated to things they are not committed to.
  • When you are completely sold on something that you are doing, people can pick up on it.
  • Once the conversation with yourself is good, the conversation with the world becomes better.
  • There has to be an agreement about the things that you talk about in a meeting. You must draw a distinction between dimensions and tangents. People can add a lot to a central focus from different dimensions but tangents take away from the focus.
  • Having a leader allows the group to circle back to the central focus of the meeting.
  • Write down the purpose of the meeting on a sheet of paper, along with what you want to accomplish and what the outcome is.
  • There are two things necessary for great performance: fear and excitement.
  • Figure out the ideal outcome of something before you commit to it.
  • Understand your success criteria, use measurable metrics so that when you hit success, you know it. The human brain loves numbers when it comes to measuring success.
  • The main problem we experience in the 21st century is too much choice.
  • The number one thing you have to do with your business is make sure the value creation proposition doesn’t require your presence.
  • Don’t get mired in the start-up, just go out and sell something.
  • The best place to start replicating and leveraging yourself is in your marketing.
  • Two things to protect as an Entrepreneur are confidence and gratitude.
  • Happiness is a skill that you can develop. Gratitude doesn’t have to be reactive, you can be proactively grateful by appreciating something for what it is.
  • You may not be in control of your circumstances but you can be in control of your responses..
