The skills of the most successful entrepreneurs are learned, they are not born with them.

#1: I already have too much marketing stuff. People don’t want books and seminars, they want results, habits, and skills. You have to take the information, distill the wisdom, and execute. Focus on the not to-do list.

#2: I need management, not marketing. Management starts with yourself and getting clear on your goals.

#3: I don’t have the money. Marketing and education is a self liquidating system.

#4: I am a one person operation, I don’t have the time. If you can’t take the time off, how are you going to find the time for strategic planning? By participating in the program, you will unlock your time.

#5: My spouse doesn’t support my interest. Does your spouse support the current form of your business? By including your spouse in the program, they will come to understand the value to your business and your relationship. When your business is off track, one of the first things to go is fun time.

#6: I am already doing really well. The question is do you have bigger goals? Can you improve your results and create more time, energy, and money out of your business.

#7: I already have my own system for success. You will be able to take what is already working in your existing system and make it better.

#8: I don’t want to travel. The 5% of people who are successful are willing to do what everyone else is not willing to do.

#9: I don’t want anymore money. Making more money is a byproduct of improvement.

#10: I am already using all of your Piranha Marketing strategies on my own. If you want a greater and better way of reaching your goals, we are here for you.

#11: I don’t like being in groups. Most entrepreneurs don’t like being in groups of non creative people, Genius Network meetings are very different. In order to get better at something, the best way is to spend time with people who are better than you in that thing.

#12: I don’t like touchy feely programs. We simply ask entrepreneurs to tell the truth about their success and the path they are on.

#13: I am afraid of what I will find out in the process. You will discover you have a number of powerful skills that you can work on. You will learn things that may scare you but they will also allow you to break through.

#14: I can’t sit still for eight hours. This is not a series of lectures, it is a powerful brainstorm group.

#15: I hate filling out forms and planning. Everything you write down, your brain takes seriously. This is not just writing for the sake of writing.

#16: I don’t want to talk in the workshop. If you weren’t willing to talk, your business wouldn’t exist.

#17: I want to wait until I’m more organized or ready. You are going to wait a long time, you have no incentive to get ready before you begin. Once you begin, you will find you will become more organized and ready by default. Being ready is a psychological barrier.

#18: My company won’t support my participation. Entrepreneurs don’t ask to be subsidized or supported. Who are you really working for?

#19: I’m too old to change my life. Old is an attitude, not an age. Those who start now can add 10 to 20 years of productive time to their life.

#20: I don’t want or need to work less. I love working all the time. Spoken like a true workaholic with no social life. If you enjoy working all the time, this is not the program for you.

#21: My business is totally different. The more you think you are unique, the more you are holding back yourself from having true breakthroughs in your business.

#22: I want to wait until I have employees and a great team in place. Most entrepreneurs are great salespeople and not great team builders. You will learn the systems that allow you to build a great team. If you don’t have it now, is it going to just show up?

#23: I don’t see how four days a year can change things. It’s not just four days in isolation. You can get more done with one hour of effective thinking than most people can get done with a month’s worth of hard work. Work hard on smart things.

#24: I am really bad at finishing things. You can do anything in the world you want as long as you are not the one to do it. Nurture your strengths and seek out others to shore up your weaknesses.

#25: I don’t want anyone to know how much I make. You will quickly realize that nobody cares. Money is only a means to what it can create.

#26: What if a competitor ends up in the group. It rarely happens, but if it does they usually form a strategic alliance. The true competitor is in the mirror.

#27: I want to see if I can do it on my own. You need to look at what you are doing on your own and if you are satisfied with the timeframe.

#28: I don’t feel like I have anything to contribute. You lack confidence, in the program you will discover you have so much to contribute that you will become a mentor to others in the program.

#29: I’m shy and don’t know how to meet people. Whatever you fear and don’t face, controls you. No one is unapproachable, as long as you are willing to participate you will find value and grow personally.

#30: I won’t fit in. Everyone gets equal time and attention, the program is designed to filter out people that will dominate a group to the detriment of others.

#31: I am not a good networking. You don’t have to be, you just have to show up and use your mind to analyze the information.

Coaching is not dumping information onto people. You don’t need hundreds of tools, you just need a few tools that work really well. The last thing a successful entrepreneur needs is more overwhelm.
