Everybody is born with a special ability that most don’t consider very special at all.
We have the ability to perceive the past, present, and future from the moment we’re born.
Words are ideas, without the language to describe something like the future you can’t really conceptualize it.
Looking at the past, present, and future as a skill and a capability allows you to get your other skills and capabilities right.
The vast majority of people on the planet are trapped in the Captivity Cycle when it comes to their time senses.
People use the words “choose” and “decide” interchangeably are wrong. Choosing something is an internal process that applies to the future.
When you choose the future, you get in the position to do something about the past.
Making a decision is actually the act of killing off a particular future.
If you create a new, better future you get to choose which parts of the past to bring along.
We always bring our skills and achievements into the future with us.
Creative people are choosing to create a bigger and better future.
Entrepreneurs don’t do what they do for money, they do it for freedom. Freedom just happens to cost money.
The only reason we want things is because we want them. Wanting is a creative act that can’t be psychoanalyzed.
People in the Captive cycle have a hard time visualizing the future without the past pulling them back.
The justification of what you want is a lie, and every time you lie you lose power because you have to remove yourself from reality.
When you’re stuck, your past gets to decide what you do in the present which then reinforces your past.
Society basically wants to stay the way it is which is why the Captivity cycle is the dominant model.
The lifetime experience of being trapped in the Captivity cycle is the basis of all addictions.
Scarcity and the associated mindset are the core of the Captivity cycle.
We no longer live in a world where satisfying needs is the primary goal, it’s no possible to simply want something without having to justify it.
If you want to free yourself from a bad situation, you have to free other people of responsibility and take it on yourself.
Wanting keeps you young, but needing ages you.
It all starts with making a commitment to creating a bigger and better future which then leads to being courageous.
The virtuous cycle of commitment, courage, capability, and confidence is the core of the Freedom cycle.
Don’t make things easy for your kids, you can’t enter the Freedom cycle without going through the four C’s.
